The Ballymena Times already boasts a link to a website dedicated to the people from this borough who served in the Great War of 1914-1918.
Now we intend to use our website and the latest information gathering technology to mount a new, inter-active project to compile a history of the town and district in the Second World War of 1939-45.
Research has already begun on this project but we are confident that with the help of schools, clubs and other organisations we will be able to build a superb resource which will be of immense value in both educational and local history terms.
As the weeks go by, you will see this section of the site grow and it will hopefully mature into a vibrant, interactive community project.
